Physical Risks

Being hit by a thrown projectile Low High Throwers wait until others are clear of target area.

Hand cuts from burrs on projectiles Medium Low Check projectiles after contact. Have file on-site for removing burrs.
Hand splinters from wooden targets Low Low Throwers take care removing projectiles from targets.
Hand cuts from splintered wooden handles Low Low Check handles after contact.
Head injury from standing up in front of target. Low Low Always remove projectiles from targets prior to collecting projectiles from the ground.
Head injury from projectiles falling from target Low Low Always remove projectiles from targets prior to collecting projectiles from the ground.
Foot injuries from dropped/falling projectiles. Low Low Require proper footware without open toes.
